Pat is an experienced entrepreneur, financier and tax lawyer. Prior to co-founding GRS in 2010, Pat was involved principally in two ventures, one a large independent equipment leasing company with a diversified portfolio of more than $2 billion in originations, and the other as founder of a Section 1031 Exchange company with deposits approaching $500 million. Pat also practiced law for many years as a partner at Bingham, Dana & Gould in Boston and Sonnenschein Carlin Nath and Rosenthal in Chicago, where he specialized in tax advisory services, partnerships, real estate, leasing syndications, like-kind exchanges and structured finance. Pat has published a number of articles and spoken widely on investment related tax matters and like-kind exchanges. He has also served as President and Board Member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators. Pat is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Law School.
